Not to be missed! Sarah Tocco, internationally known concert pianist and pianist/organist at Arlington’s First Parish Unitarian-Universalist church, will give an all-Chopin recital at the church on Sunday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m.
Since The New York Times lauded her debut at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York as an accompanist in 1986, Ms. Sarah Tocco has made numerous solo appearances around the world including the Manaus Opera House in Brazil, the Hai-Fung Opera House in Vietnam and, most recently, the International House of Music in Moscow. She has also performed in Jamaica, Italy and Cuba. In addition to her many appearances in New England, she has appeared throughout the United States in such major cities as Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans. Ms. Tocco is especially known for her poetic and intellectual interpretation of the Romantic Era. Her recently released CD, which presents music of Brahms, Chopin, and Schubert has proven a favorite among music enthusiasts around the globe. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at Boston University, Ms. Tocco holds both MM and BM degrees from the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
